A local literacy program announced its spring book selection today for Waco’s youth.
One Book, One Waco is blasting off their largest campaign ever with their spring read The Rocket Boys by Homer Hickam for middle school through college students.
Younger readers can enjoy Max Goes to Jupiter by Jeffrey Bennett.
Space-X is one of the sponsors, and has employees that work on rockets here in McLennan County so program organizers hope this season’s book stimulates young scientists in the community.
The literacy program has been around since 2002, but was restructured under the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce in ‘07.
