Mars Helicopter Ingenuity! Plus Free, Earth Week Events for Kids and Adults

Events this week!


Dear Friends:

The Mars helicopter Ingenuity is now scheduled for its first test flight on Thursday:

  • Go to this NASA page to find the updated exact time, to watch online, and to learn more about Ingenuity. 

Also this week (and next), I’ll be offering several free, online presentations for Earth week. Hope that some you you can tune in.

Tuesday, April 13 (tomorrow): The Kids Climate Summit: I will be a member of two separate panel discussions for elementary school and middle school. Registration is required:

  • Elementary school: Register kids here and adults here. 
  • Middle school: Register kids here and adults here.

Science on State Street: I will be doing the following presentations for this festival hosted by Framingham State University and the McAuliffe Center. Register with the links included below:

  • Wed., April 14, 11am EDT, for middle school classrooms: Climate Change – what it is and how we’ll fix it.
  • Thurs., April 15, 1pm EDT, for elementary school classrooms: The Wizard Who Saved the World.
  • Friday, April 16, 11am EDT, for elementary school classrooms: Max Goes to the Moon
  • Thursday, April 22, 5:30pm EDT, for everyone: Global Warming Demystified.
