Join Us Tuesday for a Live Event from the International Space Station!

Dear Friends:

Exciting news, especially for teachers and those of you with kids: Our previously postponed event for Story Time From Space will be happening this coming Tuesday, Jan. 26. We’ll have a live reading from the International Space Station (ISS) of Willow the Water Bear, by Houston Kidd, along with discussion and commentary.  Details:

  • Date/Time for Live from ISS Event: Tuesday, Jan. 26, noon Eastern time (11am central, 10am mountain, 9am Pacific).
  • To join in the live event, go to:

Plus a couple more notes while I have your attention:

  • I encourage everyone to watch this 4-minute video of “Earthrise,” another amazing poem by Amanda Gorman:

  • Please join me for a virtual “Astronomy on Tap” event on Feb. 8, 7pm eastern time. More details and free registration here.
  • The Voyage Scale Model Solar System National Program: As some of you will recall, we are getting ready to upgrade our 33-year old Colorado Scale Model Solar System to a new “Voyage Mark II” model, and the same model is now available to communities everywhere. See the announcement of opportunity here:

  • Finally, I’ll again remind you to please check out and share with teachers my new, free, digital textbook for Middle School Earth and Space Science:
