Barely 3 Months to Totality + New Global Warming Primer

January 3, 2024 / Jeffrey Bennett / Space News

Dear Friends –

Happy new year! With apologies for the redundancy, I’m again sending you my eclipse Q&A, since we are now barely 3 months way from the April 8 total solar eclipse. If you can get to the path of totality, you should definitely try to do so; and if not, you can enjoy a partial solar eclipse from anywhere in the mainland USA. Just be sure you are ready with our FREE Totality app and eclipse glasses. The Q&A is below. First, a couple of other quick notes:

  • Wondering what other space news to look forward to in 2024? Check out this great article from yesterday’s The New York Times “Science Times” section.
  • The new edition of my book on global warming has officially published as of yesterday (1/2/24) with a new subtitle: A Global Warming Primer — Pathway to a Post-Global Warming Future. Also watch for my upcoming talks on this topic in Omaha (date tbd between Jan. 31-Feb. 2), Dallas (date tbd between Feb. 19-24), Tucson (March 11), and Boulder (April 11&12).
  • Looking for a good place to watch the eclipse? Come join me at the Dallas Arboretum, where I will be part of the speaker program both pre-eclipse and on eclipse day. Click here for details.

As always, feel free to share, and you can find subscribe/unsubscribe instructions below.

Best wishes for the new year,

Jeff
PS. For anyone attending either the American Astronomical Society meeting (New Orleans Jan. 7-11) or the National Science Teachers Association (Denver, March 20-23), please come say hello at the Big Kid Science table in the exhibit hall.
