The Cosmic Perspective, 7th Edition: This is the full version of the introductory astronomy textbook that I write with Megan Donahue, Nick Schneider, and Mark Voit, designed primarily for year-long courses. We have thoroughly updated the entire book, so your students will find the latest on extrasolar planets, Mars exploration, dark matter and dark energy, and much more. The Essential Cosmic Perspective, 7th Edition: This is the condensed version of our introductory astronomy textbook, designed primarily for one-semester courses. The Using and Understanding Mathematics, 6th Edition: This is a brand new edition of the quantitative reasoning textbook that I write with Bill Briggs. The book uses a great deal of current events and data, so students will appreciate having it fully up to date. We have also added new chapter openers that feature Q&A questions of the type I also use in my general public book Math for Life, which we think will help engage students in the subject matter. Statistical Reasoning for Everyday Life, 4th Edition: This is the new version of the textbook in statistics that I write with Marty Triola and Bill Briggs, designed to provide an introduction to the ideas of statistics that we encounter in daily life, written in a way that students can learn without getting bogged down in the calculations (there are some calculations, of course!). We have thoroughly updated the entire book, so your students will find the latest on extrasolar planets, Mars exploration, dark matter and dark energy, and much more.
